Improving Student Attendance
How do you teach a student that misses school one or more days a week? How do you help a student increase achievement when he or she misses more than a fifth of the school year? Common Problems with Supervision
It is clear that the supervision process can be as unique as the dynamics each supervisee brings to that process. However, there are some common supervisee issues that develop during the course of supervision, some of which are problematic. These common issues provide supervisors the opportunity to identify, address, and resolve typical problems.

LPC Licensure
Members who hold a South Dakota LPC, LMFT, or LPC-MH are reminded that they must complete their licensure renewal before December 31, 2007. Individuals Interested in Applying for Licensure under the Exemption Process Must Do So by January 1, 2008.
If you are not excluded from the law and practice counseling as defined, please click on the link to find the application for the LPC by Exemption. Additionally, if you have been working in an exempt setting but meet the requirements and wish to apply for licensure (i.e. – a practicing school counselor), please read the section below and check out the application process on the Board of Counselor Examiners website at:
