    Beginning the New Year

    President-Elect of SDCA, Mary Pat Mueller, would like to begin discuss beginning this year with both purpose and intention.

    Online Mental Health

    DeLaine Branum, President of the Pheasant-Palace Chapter, identifies the importance of easily accessed Mental Health Service directories.

    Creativity In Counseling

    Samuel T. Gladding will present the 2007 SDCA Conference Keynote. Gladding is internationally known for his work in the field of counseling. His positive and energizing presentations make him a sought after speaker. He will present the opening keynote for the conference on Friday, April 13 on the topic of Creativity in Counseling.

    SDCA Awards Nomination Form

    It's time to recognize your fellow peers for the great work they do. Here you'll find the criteria for nomination. Don't forget to get them in by March 1st.

    What's Your New Year's Resolution?

    SDMHCA President Bonnie Werpy Rye is looking forward into the New Year with nominations for SDCA and SDMHCA, Day on the Hill, and Private Practice workshops.

    Expanded Opportunities for Students

    SDCA values its student members and offers several opportunities for students to get involved at the annual conference. Students are encouraged to consider serving as a conference moderator, presenting a poster session, or simply just attending and making professional and personal contacts.

    Graduate Student Representative

    The South Dakota Counseling Association has long been eager to offer students opportunities for professional development and to be active participants in the organization. Look here for information on exciting opportunities that are exclusive for students.

    Congress Passes Bill to Include Counselors in VA Programs

    Counselors to be recognized as Mental Health providers by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
