March has arrived and April will be here soon-that means the SDCA Conference in Pierre, South Dakota. Hopefully, all of you have registered for the April 20-22 excitement and learning conference. This will mark my 33rd conference and I would not miss it. This is a time for fueling your soul with knowledge and meeting and gathering with fellow counselors - what a better way to spend your time for a few days.
There are many excellent speakers and breakout sessions planned. As professional counselors I feel it is our duty to grow and learn and what a better way, but at the SDCA Conference 'Hooked on Helping', PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND!
To keep this organization moving upward we need to have people get involved. Let your voice be heard. It is a wonderful organization that has helped so many. If you would like to step up to the plate and like to help on a committee for SDCA or run for office at the chapter/area of spec. Level, please let me know I would love to have you on the SDCA team. We need each other to grow. The SDCA Board/Committee Retreat will be Aug. 7 (noon) to Aug. 8 (noon) at Broom Tree by Irene, SD. More details later.
