WRCA Chapter President
WRCA membership is at an all-time high. We now have 104 members. This is a 37% increase from last year (76 members) and a 73% increase from 2005 (60 members). I believe the increase in membership is due to several things: 1) training sessions that are meaningful, 2) the bi-monthly newsletter that keeps members informed, 3) the Referral Directory that will be available in the spring, and 4) and members who are willing to get involved.
Our next meeting will be held at the SDCA Conference. At this meeting we will be electing officers for the 2007/2008 year. I am requesting members to become involved in the leadership of the chapter. During the past few years the leadership of WRCA has been held by the school counseling sector of the membership. Although I want to continue to encourage this group to stay involved, I would also like to challenge our agency counselors to consider taking part in the leadership.
