    Welcome to the March 2008 issue of the South Dakota Counseling Association web-based newsletter. Read the statements below and then click on the link (bold and underlined) to the article to read it in its entirety.

    Take some time to professionally rejuvenate and grow! Three SDCA entities are offering workshops during the month of March. Click on the WORKSHOPS link at http://www.sdcounseling.org/workshops.asp for more information. Whether you are interested in supervision, play therapy, or comprehensive school counseling, SDCA has something for you!

    SDCA's 49th annual conference will be held April 3-5, 2008 at the Holiday Inn Rushmore Plaza in Rapid City. It's not too late to register. For more information on the conference, go to: www.sdcounseling.org and click on the CONFERENCE link.

    Do you know of a deserving colleague who should be nominated to receive one of SDCA's annual awards? If so, consider working with your chapter or area of specialty to coordinate a nomination for them. You can find a full listing of the various awards along with the nomination criteria at: www.sdcounseling.org then click on MEMBERS and the SDCA AWARDS link. Deadline for award nominations is March 1.

    SDCA has a block of rooms for 2008 conference participants available at a price of $72 per night. This price is only good through March 1. If you haven't already reserved your conference lodging, call the Holiday Inn Rushmore Plaza at (605) 348-4000. Let them know you are with SDCA to receive this rate.
