HEALING OF HEALERS CONFERENCE & RETREAT AT
CEDAR SHORES RESORT IN CHAMBERLAIN
THE SOUTH DAKOTA INDIAN COUNSELORS ASSOCIATION INVITES YOU TO ATTEND THE 5TH ANNUAL "HEALING OF HEALERS" CONFERENCE AND RETREAT.
The conference/ retreat will be held at the Cedar Shores Resort in Chamberlain, over President's Day Weekend, February, 18th, 19th, and 20th. We are getting an exciting program lined up with at least two excellent keynote presenters. Mike Cutler, a doctorate student, at USD will be sharing his dissertation research and leading a discussion on Native American resiliency and self-efficacy. Dorothy Kiyukan, a school counselor, at Marty Indian School, will present her Native American student surveys regarding attitudes and beliefs about testing. She will also lead a discussion on these topics. We are very fortunate to have such experienced and knowledgeable presenters.
The "Healing of Healers" Conference/Retreat is known for its positive atmosphere and open forum for discussion of our challenges and successes in the field of Native American education. We are always looking for solutions and our focus this year will be our theme, "Moving On / Looking Forward".
In addition to the previous discussion you can expect an informal event and a family affair. We are a relaxed group and believe that we work better and more effectively if we learn, play, and loosen up!!!
An additional bonus...for this year is the, "Adult/Child Activity Time" with Jesse, Gabe, & Samuel McGinnis/Cutler. This is especially set up for a parent/significant other not participating in the conference and attending with a family member. Jesse will have some activities lined up that you & your child may participate in.

For reservations call 1-888-697-6363. We have a block of 15 rooms at $59.95 per night. The deadline for registration is Jan. 27th. We may be able to get additional rooms if needed. We may run into a problem of room availability. See additional registration information on the following registration form.
