    Are you interested in leadership opportunities or the opportunity to have your research and writing funded? If so, check out the SDCA President-Elect Nomination Form. SDCA Research and Writing Chair Chris Briddick has also included an article on Research and Writing Opportunities for members.

    SDICA leaders will once again host their Healing of Healers workshop Feb. 18-20 in Chamberlain. Make plans to attend this wonderful time of personal healing and growth.

    The SDCA Conference will be held April 20-22 in Pierre. Learn more about the Creative Counseling preconference offering. Also, check out SDMHCA President Heidi Evers' suggestion about using fall as a Time for Planning. The Conference registration form is also available on the website under the CONFERENCES link.

    We all have colleagues who are deserving of public recognition for their work with clients/students or contributions to the profession. Check out the SDCA Awards Nomination Form and consider coordinating the efforts of your chapter or area of specialty to nominate some of our most deserving members!

    Take advantage of the Conference Early Bird Registration special and save $50. If you register by January 15, 2006, your conference registration amount will be $150. This includes all conference meals. Registration after Jan. 15 goes up to $200. Student and retired member registration rate remains constant, but we encourage you to register early. A complete list of the conference content sessions should be on the web by early December and will be included in the December newsletter.
