SDCA Receives ACA Public Policy Grant

SDCA received word that the ACA Public Policy and Legislation Committee has awarded the South Dakota Counseling Association with a legislative grant in the amount of $2,152 ($1,767 to help pass legislation that will license the practice of counseling in SD and $385 to support travel to the 2007 ACA Legislative Institute).
The awards are the results of two grant requests that SDCA Executive Director Kelly Duncan wrote on behalf of SDCA.
SDCA has contracted with a lobbyist again for the 2007 SD Legislative Session. SDCA Member Catherine Flum has been chosen as SDCA's delegate to the ACA Public Policy and Legislative Training Institute.
