
PUTTING ETHICS TO WORK
Workshop Description:
The aim of this workshop is to assist the working counselor to translate ethical principals and guidelines into everyday practice. Participants will be introduced to a model for making ethical decisions and to the recently published 2005 ACA Code of Ethics. Case study vignettes will focus on putting ethics into practice. Participants will receive a list of resources for specific ethical concerns and issues such as documentation of records.

Please feel free to share this information with colleagues who may also be looking for continuing education hours prior to license renewal. A minimum of twenty participants is necessary in order for this workshop to be finalized.
This workshop meets the requirements by the SD Board of Counselor Examiners for evidence of 4 or more hours of continuing education in the area of ethics in each licensing renewal period.
