    STRENGTHENING THE RELATIONSHIP
    BETWEEN TEACHERS AND COUNSELORS

On September 22nd and 23rd, the Sioux Chapter of the South Dakota Counseling Association is sponsoring a workshop titled, "Strengthening the Relationship between Teachers and Counselors." The workshop will benefit both teachers and counselors, covering the demands and restrictions of confidentiality and sharing information. Ethics and the sharing of information between staff, within IEP's, and other settings will be discussed. Also covered will be the most recent developments in our understanding of the teenage brain, discussions between teachers and counselors, creative activities, and guest lecturers. The seminar will qualify for the 4 hours of ethics required for LPC licensure.

Attached you will find a brochure with further details. Please feel free to promote this workshop with your staff to educate them on your role as a counselor and how we can best meet the needs of our clients.
