Strategic Plan 2005-2008
Vision Statement:
SDMHCA seeks to advocate for the counseling profession through a focus on promotion of ethical standards and professional development of its members while remaining financially responsible.
Strategic Objectives:
Goal 1: Support the SDCA government relations committee in advocating for the passage of a practice law.
Objectives:
A. Assist to implement the plan of the government relations committee prior to the 2005 legislative session.
B. Provide financial assistance to SDCA for the hiring of a lobbyist to support the legislative initiative.
Goal 2: Provide for professional development and networking opportunities for the members of the SDMHCA.
Objectives:
A. Collaborate with the SDSCA membership to provide a pre-conference workshop at the annual SDCA conference
B. Encourage members to attend and present at the annual SDCA conference
C. Develop a fall conference or workshop
D. Grow and develop the list serve
Goal 3: Increase fiscal growth and maintain financial responsibility.
Objectives:
A. Prepare financial projects for fiscal year beginning July 1
B. Present to the membership at the annual meeting a financial report
C. Continue professional development conferences
D. Increase membership by 5% on an annual basis
